Terms & Conditions

Itinerary and Services

Clients will receive a detailed itinerary outlining the various destinations and activities included in their safari. While we aim to deliver the services as agreed, we reserve the right to modify the itinerary in case of unforeseen circumstances such as road closures, bad weather, or security concerns. In such cases, we will notify clients and make alternative arrangements, ensuring the same quality and character of the safari experience where possible.

Please note that conditions in Tanzania may differ from those in developed countries, and there could be unannounced changes to government-regulated fees and taxes (e.g., national park fees). We have the right to pass these local taxes/fees on to our clients.

Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit of the itinerary cost is required to confirm the reservation, along with 100% upfront payment for airline tickets.

  • The balance of payment is due 65 days prior to the start date of the itinerary.

  • For bookings made within 65 days of departure, full prepayment is required at the time of booking.

Methods of Payment

Payments can be made via bank wire/transfer.

Cancellation Policy

If a client cancels their booking, the following cancellation charges will apply:

  • 65+ days before departure: Deposit is non-refundable.

  • 50-65 days before departure: 50% of the itinerary cost.

  • 0-50 days before departure: 100% of the itinerary cost.

If you wish to make changes to your itinerary or request an earlier departure date after your booking has been confirmed, we will do our best to accommodate your requests, subject to availability. However, changes may incur an additional fee of €150.

Travel Documents

All travel documents (e.g., vouchers, e-tickets, luggage labels, and flyers) will be sent to you two weeks before departure.

Insurance

It is mandatory for all guests to have comprehensive travel and medical insurance that covers themselves and any dependents for the duration of their trip to Tanzania. This should include coverage for medical expenses and repatriation. Optional insurance may cover:

  • Cancellation or curtailment of the safari

  • Emergency evacuation (e.g., flying doctors)

  • Damage, theft, or loss of personal baggage, money, and goods

Passports and Visas

Guests are responsible for ensuring that their passports and visas are valid for the countries they will visit. Most nationalities can obtain a tourist visa on arrival in Tanzania for $50 per person (US citizens $100 per person), valid for three months. Alternatively, visas can be obtained in advance at the embassy in your home country. Passports should have at least six months of validity after the final day of travel. We cannot be held liable for any issues related to visas.

Name Checks

It is essential to check the names on the invoice carefully upon receipt. If a name change is requested three or more days after receiving the invoice, a fee of €125 will be applied.

By making a booking with African Zone Tour, clients accept these terms and conditions.

This policy ensures clarity and transparency for both the client and the company, providing a smooth experience for all parties involved.
